OVERVIEW

This course will treat a number of general topics that enable effective classroom practices. The topics are relevant for all teachers and administrators to strengthen capacity and knowledge in such areas as:

 

    ·       how to identify and support children with special learning needs;

·       21st century pedagogy;

·       STEAM Education;

·       Digital Literacy; and

·       Classroom Management amongst others.

The objectives for this section are to.

   ·       Expose teachers to 21st century skills through STEAM Education and Digital Literacy
   ·       Ensure inclusive education through the capacity to identify and support students with                    special needs; and
   ·       Enhance teachers’ capacity to manage their classrooms and ensure that learning takes place.
